Class Schedule — École Napoléon

Class schedules at École Napoléon are organized to ensure pedagogical coherence, appropriate level placement, and effective learning conditions. Unlike many schools, classes at École Napoléon do not begin simply by clicking a button and joining the next available group. Learning a language is not a casual activity, and being placed at the right level is essential for real progress. École Napoléon is not a recreational activity center. It is a school where language is taught seriously. Our objective is not to take fees first, but to teach French correctly, with structure and rigor. Schedules are indicative, not automatic, and depend on level assessment and availability.

Level Placement and Registration

Registration for adult group classes depends on two essential conditions:

If a learner prefers a specific day and time but the available group at that time does not match their level, an alternative class will be proposed based on assessed level and availability.

Entrance Test

All adult learners must successfully complete the entrance test so that their level can be accurately assessed.

Availability at the Appropriate Level

Learners may only join a group corresponding to their level.

Waiting List and Alternative Options

If no suitable group class is available, or if the proposed schedule does not meet the learner’s availability, the following options apply:

To be placed on the waiting list, a 50% deposit of the class fee is required. This deposit ensures priority placement as soon as a suitable group becomes available.

Adult Private and Semi-Private Classes

For private, semi-private, and mini-group classes, École Napoléon uses a Wish Timetable system.

Learners submit three preferred days and three preferred time slots.

Based on teacher availability, classes are scheduled and generally begin as quickly as possible.

Children & Teenagers — Private and Semi-Private Instruction

École Napoléon offers French instruction for children and teenagers exclusively through private and semi-private formats.

The same Wish Timetable system applies: – parents submit preferred days and times – scheduling depends on teacher availability.

Language Skills

Whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced learner, you must take this test to join our classes.

This French test includes questions of increasing difficulty and lasts a maximum of 25 minutes.

This test will primarily assess your reading and listening comprehension, as well as your grammar knowledge. It consists of multiple-choice questions, image-based expression, and listening comprehension based on dialogues.

After completing the test, your results will be analyzed by a specialized French teacher and communicated to you. You will receive an evaluation of your level and the schedule for our classes that correspond to it.

Examiner

Please do not use books, dictionaries, translators, or any other aids. This will complicate our assessment and you risk being placed in an inappropriate class.

If you do not know the answer, write (no).
