Introductory Video Lessons

Begin Learning Before Registering for a Class

At École Napoléon, we believe that learners, parents, and educators should be able to observe real teaching before enrolling. For this reason, we openly share the first lessons of our program through a small series of structured video lessons. These lessons allow anyone to begin learning French immediately, without registering for a class.

Five Real Lessons — Not Demonstrations

The video section consists of five structured lessons, each approximately 20 minutes long.

These are not previews, summaries, or simplified samples.

They are the actual first lessons of our program, taught with the same rigor and method as in our classes.

They introduce: – the foundations of reading in French – essential pronunciation principles – linguistic rules often overlooked or poorly explained elsewhere.

Learning Comes First

understand how French is structured – experience a disciplined and coherent teaching approach.

You are free to stop after watching them. You are also free to continue further.

The lessons stand on their own.

For Learners, Parents, and Teachers

These video lessons are suitable for: – adults and children – beginners and learners restarting French – parents who wish to understand how French is taught – teachers and educators seeking clear methodological reference.

They require no prior knowledge and no commitment.

Showing the Method by Teaching

Rather than describing our method in abstract terms, we prefer to demonstrate it through teaching.

These lessons reflect: – structured progression – precise explanations – controlled pronunciation – guided learning from the very first steps.

They present linguistic explanations that are rarely taught and often overlooked in standard materials.

An Open Educational Choice

These lessons are shared openly: – on the École Napoléon website – and on selected public platforms.

This openness reflects our belief that serious pedagogy should be visible.

Some viewers will simply learn from these lessons. Others will choose to register for structured classes.

Both choices are respected.

A Broader Pedagogical Framework

The introductory video lessons are part of a broader pedagogical framework.

Additional activities and teaching materials are available in the École Napoléon Schoolbag.

Language Skills

Whether you are a beginner, intermediate, or advanced learner, you must take this test to join our classes.

This French test includes questions of increasing difficulty and lasts a maximum of 25 minutes.

This test will primarily assess your reading and listening comprehension, as well as your grammar knowledge. It consists of multiple-choice questions, image-based expression, and listening comprehension based on dialogues.

After completing the test, your results will be analyzed by a specialized French teacher and communicated to you. You will receive an evaluation of your level and the schedule for our classes that correspond to it.

Examiner

Please do not use books, dictionaries, translators, or any other aids. This will complicate our assessment and you risk being placed in an inappropriate class.

If you do not know the answer, write (no).
